Jorge Tur
Jorge Tur Moltó is a filmmaker, professor and coordinator of the Master of Creative Documentary at the UAB (Universitat Autónoma de Barcelona). Among his works we can highlight the one he dedicated to the group Cicatriz in the documentary "Si yo fuera tú, me gustarían los Cicatriz" (If I were you, I would like Cicatriz). He uses film to focus on what he doesn't understand, doesn't know or is afraid of. His work method is always based on an exploration, whether in a morgue (De función), in a psychiatric hospital (Castillo), in his neighborhood (Ja arriba el temps de remenar les cireres), in faraway Moscow (Diario ruso) or in an unknown desert (Dime quién era Sanchicorrota). His films have won awards at Festival Punto de Vista, Sitges Festival, Vila do Conde, Alcances, Documenta Madrid, Festival Dei Popoli, Las Palmas, Transcinema or Cinespaña Toulouse. They have been screened in museums such as CCCB, MUSAC, Malba or Muvim and in centers such as La Casa Encendida, Arts Santa Mònica or Niemeyer. They have also been selected in competitions such as Bafici, DocLisboa, Zinebi, Visions du Reel, Alcine, Fidocs or Taiwan International Documentary, among others. They have also been part of exhibitions such as D-Generación: experiencias subterráneas de la no ficción española, which gathers works made in the frameworks of experimental cinema, video and creative documentary from new production spaces, Apología/Antología, which reviews 50 years of video creation in Spain, or La última risa: una historia alternativa de la comedia española, screened at The Film Society of Lincoln Center in New York. He has participated in the book Territorios y Fronteras 2. Emergencias y urgencias en el cine documental español, edited by the University of the Basque Country UPV/EHU. He has also been a member of the committee that awards grants from the Fondo para el Desarrollo Cinematográfico (Proimágenes Colombia) for project writing and in the ZINEBI Networking: Dokumentalen Sorgunea - Foro Profesional de Cine Documental de Bilbao (Bilbao Professional Documentary Film Forum). He has given lectures and project development consultancies in other institutions such as the Universidad del Norte in Barranquilla. With a degree in psychology, he has also coordinated audiovisual workshops in psychiatric centers. He has been a jury member at festivals such as Athens, Cali, Cádiz, Málaga, Široki Brijeg, Foradcamp and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
Joan Porcel
Joan Porcel (Palma, 1994). Graduated in Audiovisual Communication and Master in Theory and Practice of Creative Documentary by the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (2016). In 2018 he presents his debut feature, “Samantha Hudson: A story of faith, sex and electro-queer". The film is produced by FILMIN and is selected for a long list of national and international festivals, including the Audience Award for Best Spanish Work at the LesGaiCineMad festival (Madrid). In 2020, “Sempre Dijous”, a feature film that chronicles the creative process of the Mallorcan singer Júlia Colom over the course of a year, won the Jury Prize for Best National Documentary at the In-Edit Festival (Barcelona).
Mariona Burrull
She/ He, writes film and series reviews for Fotogramas and Serielizados and participates in radio shows at “Les tardes de Catalunya Radio”, SER Catalunya's “Tot és comèdia”and Radio 4's “Va de cine”. She-he, has specialized in the covering of A list festivals, collaborating with different media outlet such as El Antepenúltimo Mohicano, Sensacine, El Confidencial and OtrosCines Europa, among others.
Jara Yáñez
Film historian and critic. She is the director of the magazine Caimán Cuadernos de Cine (formerly Cahiers du cinéma. Spain, which she has been working on since it was founded in 2007), lecturer on the Master's Degree in Film Criticism (ECAM) and author of books on production, V.O.S. exhibition, and Spanish short films, as well as other texts for collective books on different filmmakers. She has been a member of DocumentaMadrid's programming committee and has been collaborating with Alcine since 2011. She has curated children's audiovisual cycles for the Reina Sofía Museum and has participated in the educational platform Platino Educa and the EducaFilmoteca programme. Her commitment to the gender perspective is reflected in many of her texts, in her book Femenino plural (edited with Andrea Morán, 2017), and in the coordination of the Encuentros de mujeres del cine that have been held at SEMINCI since 2017.
