Danny Fields was a music industry executive in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, and one of the most influential figures in the history of punk rock. He signed and managed Iggy Pop and the Stooges, signed MC5 and the Ramones and worked with Jim Morrison, Lou Reed, Nico and Judy Collins. They're all here. This amazing documentary delves into his archive and follows him everywhere: to the Warhol Silver Factory and Elektra Records, as well as interviewing all his artists. A story that shows how often the marginal, the defiant and the radical ends up becoming the prophetic cutting edge. In 2014 the New York Times said, "What's obvious is that without Danny Fields, punk rock wouldn't have happened." And here we find out why.
