Senior Lecturer in Art Theory and Aesthetics at the University of the Basque Country. His interests centre on the relations between philosophy and different narrative processes such as literature or film making. He has written various articles about literary authors such as Coetzee, Pessoa, Robert Walser, Gombrowicz, Sandor Márai, Kertész, Mishima, Álvaro Mutis, Sebald and Danilo Kis, among others, and also about film makers such as Aleksei German, Peter Forgács and many other directors, dealing with the issue of violence in film narrative.
