Saioa Burutaran, Susi-Quiu (b. San Sebastián, 1986), captures a glorious moment in music in her drawings, and does so in a hedonist way, with loving care and above all recreating a highly personal inner world. In this way her drawings make up a kind of family album, where the pictures create relations between one another, like in the old photo albums where we come across forgotten memories. Her colourful illustrations with their naive style take the viewer back to the not-so-distant days when the lack of information meant one could only imagine what any artist was like. This results in pictures that seem to have been drawn from idealised impressions and the pure emotion of the songs. Many of the greatest artists and bands in the world of rock, soul, country, jazz or folk come together in this exhibition. All of them are personalities who contributed to the development of styles of music than marked a generation, influenced those that followed and will be fundamental for those to come.
