Shot between Irun, Copenhagen and Donostia, Ignora portrays two artists breathing and counter-breathing together. Ainara LeGardon and Ignacio Córdoba are not afraid to stop being and let the other emerge. We see and hear them simultaneously and separately; a search in development, investigation in sound, training attention and exercising listening. Hannot Mintegia lends them ears with his gaze. Ignore is also the confirmation of a personal, authorial point of view. The characters are almost always framed within the shot. We see them through the camera, but, at the same time, that camera is watching them through a door, between two trees in a lush forest or trapped between instruments and sound artifacts. Hannot's work as a cinematographer and Ainara’s and Ignacio’s as sound artists, dialogue. They ask and answer each other continuously, this feedback is the main narrative lung of the film. What is told is not the story of a process; it is not an explanation. The different sound pieces and performative actions of Ainara and Ignacio have shaped the form of this film, and Hannot's questions and curiosity around this musical research serve as a guide. Letting the sounds, as John Cage expressed, "be themselves".
