Amanda Villavieja

Amanda Villavieja (Barcelona, 1975). Sound recordist, she works in documentary and fiction films. She holds a degree in Audiovisual Communication from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and a Master's degree in Creative Documentary from Pompeu Fabra University, where she began working as a sound designer on the film En construcción by José Luis Guerín, with whom she has continued to collaborate ever since. She is also a regular collaborator of Isaki Lacuesta since the beginning and works with directors such as Oliver Laxe, Mercedes Álvarez, Alberto Gracia, Celia Rico, Pilar Palomero, Joaquín Jordá, Kikol Grau, Neus Ballús, Ricardo Íscar, Fabrizio Ferraro, Carla Subirana, Luis Miñarro, Maider Fernández, Nely Reguera and Jonás Trueba. He teaches sound at the IDEC's Master's Degree in Creative Documentary, at the UAB's Master's Degree in Creative Documentary, at the ESCAC, at the ECIB and at the ECAM. He has given sound seminars at different festivals such as Curtocircuito in Santiago de Compostela and at the Lanzarote Film Festival, and has worked on the sound design of artistic installations such as De cos present and Aftermath, by Isaki Lacuesta.
